I’m Theresa, a registered nurse and the founder of
Beyond the Umbrella.
After years of clinical work, I saw how families often needed more than medical care. They needed genuine support and a steady, dependable presence. Beyond the Umbrella was created to deliver both: the professional skill of a nurse and the comfort of a companion who truly cares.

There are no words to describe, Theresa. My cousin, who lived over 6 hours from me, was put on hospice and wanted to stay in her home. I hired Theresa as the head nurse. She monitored, trained, and hired the other nurses since I was not close. She also had to deal with a protection order we had out against someone that was taking advantage of my cousin. She coordinated with hospice and the other nurses effortless. Always professional and keep me informed of any changes, when I was not there. My cousin loved her and Theresa loved her right back. We both could not have asked for better care. Theresa leads with her heart, is professional, organized, a true angel. I still keep in touch with her and visit when I am in the area.
Theresa is a fantastic nurse and person. She has cared for our medically fragile daughter in our home almost 6 years. She is kind, patient, skilled and incredibly helpful. My husband and I have learned new skills from her and we have always appreciated her friendly disposition.
